Hey everyone, Eric and I are at Rush University once again - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone, Eric and I are at Rush University once again because of bone cancer for the 6th time! He had a routine CT scan last week of his lungs to prepare for the NanoKnife Tissue Ablation on his right lung (he still has lung spots on the pulmonary artery). The CT showed that the lung spots are still present but the cancer had spread to his T12 bone on his spine and soft tissue right next to it. The Infrared Radiation doctor feels it is best to do the NanoKnife Ablation on the spine and it should relieve pressure on nerves that have been causing Eric excruciating pain for the past couple of months in his back and ribs. We feel confident with this plan because ablation is not as invasive or painful and would help more than hurt anything. His surgery will be a few hours and he should be able to go home tomorrow. He will come in for a post-op visit and at that time we will discuss surgery for his right lung spot ablation and fluid retention removal and if he will chemo or not. Although the past couple of months have been rough, we see the light at the end of tunnel and a normal, heathy life ahead of us. We cannot thank you enough for your continued support. The fundraiser in October was absolutely amazing and helped us out more than you will ever know! I will keep everyone updated when Eric gets out of surgery tonight. Please keep us in your thoughts❤️. We love you! Love, Crystal Ann Schultz
