Hey, everyone. Good afternoon. Admin Jenn here. Just wanted to update on Brielles dumping syndrome. Mommy and daddy are pretty sure Brielle has grown out of dumping syndrome. Her sugars havent been lower then 80 in the past 2 months. Brielle doesnt see endocrine until August 4th. But in order to knock Dumping syndrome off of the diagnosis list Brielle will have to do a weekend admission at CHOP to go through the dumping protocol again. Im sure Brielle wont be happy with this, but knocking a diagnosis off of her lo list will be an exciting thing. Brielle has overcome so many things. I remember mommy and daddy were told Brielle would never breathe on her own, she would be trached and vent dependent for the rest of her life. Now here she is getting weaned off of oxygen. They were told she would never see, hear or think. Yes, she did have laser eye surgery, and does have a bit of farsightedness she in fact can see. She passed her hearing test with flying colors, no problem even suspected. And Im pretty sure she thinks. I am very proud of Brielles progress, and also how much more matured mommy and daddy have become. Brielle is the apple of their eye, and I know they wouldnt trade a thing about her.
