Hey everyone, I am currently in the process of recruiting people to be participants in a study of the phenomenon known as ASMR. ASMR (according to Wikipedia) is defined as: a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. In other words, something specific (usually whispering in soft tones or watching an intricate task) makes your head feel tingly (some people call it a braingasm) and can set you in - for lack of a better word - a trance. It is described as similar to getting chills from beautiful music, but is focused in your head and shoulder region, and is in response to particular triggers. If that sounds like you, or if you know you have ASMR, OR if you know of anyone who has it, please let me know! You could be part of a really neat study that can help legitimize the condition (and you can make some money!) Note: You would have to be in Winnipeg to be a part of the study.
