Hey everyone, I was once told to never forget who you are - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone, I was once told to never forget who you are and where you came from. I can humbly tell you that I am a proud resident of Baker and a proud member of the Board of Education for Baker Valley Unified School District. In the past two years I have been on the school board filling in the remaining term of Mr. Adam Horenburg. I had the privileges of going to the California School Board Association (CSBA) conferences in San Diego and San Francisco. This past April, I attended the Small School Districts Association (SSDA) conference in Sacramento. While in Sacramento, I had the honor to represent our school in the state capitol building for SB 143 and present our case to the State Senate Assembly. I am proud of the accomplishments of the Baker school district the last 2 years. Our API scores have been in the 700 plus range for back to back years, a first for us. Students want to do great in school and are eager to learn all that they can. Our senior portfolios are a great example of this. Every year they get better and better. I have heard many comments from past graduates indicating that the portfolio has helped them in many real-life applications. I have been a Brave for almost 20 years. There is no bigger thrill in the world as to coaching our students. I love the competition in sports. In a sense sports and a school board are alike in many ways. Trust and support builds teamwork and unity which is essential for achievement, execution of a plan leads to victories, and collectively working together builds a stronger team which is pivotal to many successes. I am asking you to re-elect me because I know we can continue making a difference in our student’s education. Every vote makes a difference so please fill out your absentee ballot and mail them in. If you have any questions you can email me at GASeifert0385@gmail, Gregory.Seifert@molycorp, call/text me at 760-885-8428 or come by my house if you feel. Thanks again for the opportunity to continue to serve our students.
