Hey everyone! 💛 Most of you may already know, but as well - TopicsExpress

Hey everyone! 💛 Most of you may already know, but as well going to rehearsals, singing, dancing and getting all glammed up for events, I devote a lot of my time to working with the Beatson Cancer Charity as Miss Scotland and have taken this on as my Beauty With A Purpose project for Miss World 2014. I was taught by my parents that giving to charity is good for the soul and that 10% of all of my earnings, must go to a good cause. I took this on board and decided to donate £1,000 of my Miss Scotland prize money to the Beatson Cancer Charity. Recently, I was appointed as an Ambassador for the charity and am currently planning to host a ball in June 2015 in the hope to raise over £100,000 in funds to go towards development in radiography, chemotherapy and to continue the developments of the Wellbeing Centre within the Beatson Hospital. I really do hope that one day the world will be rid of all cancers and working with the Beatson Cancer Charity allows me to do my part in helping to eradicate the disease. I know from personal experience that Cancer doesnt just effect its victim, but takes its toll on a whole family and its wonderful to know that the charity are there for all of you at the darkest of times. Over the past six months I have been involved in their Off The Beatson Track thirteen mile walk around Glasgows iconic Westend, the Pro-Am fundraising dinner in aid of Adam Hunter, the recent fashion show presented by ambassador and former patient Nicola Hodge, and taking time out of my Miss Scotland duties to meet and get to know the patients who this whole organisation is based around. This charity means the world to me and I will remain connected with them for many years to come. If you wish to help The Beatson Cancer Charity you can donate to their Just Giving page at https://justgiving/beatsoncancercharity #TeamBeatson
