Hey everyone. My guy has been on stall rest for going on two weeks for what the vet says is a hot medial splint injury. I am completely find with the vet saying anywhere to 3-12 weeks stall rest. But my guy isnt. As of right now he hates life. Being stuck in his stall is driving him crazy. He kicks down boards, rears when I do take him out, and bites his stall neighbours. The vet is worried if he is in turnout he will run (which is what he usually does)and worsen his injury but I dont know what to do. The vet said if he continues to act this way to take the risk and put him in turnout. He is usually the sweetest horse ever but on stall rest he is crazy and I HATE to see him this way. Has anyone else had this problem.
