Hey everyone! This is a summary of the first open-table game discussion about downtimes: 1. First and foremost, starting this game – your character sheet is now an active worksheet. Meaning, please keep it safe at game! You must write down lessons/skills you learn at game (preferably with the signature of the person who taught you), write down influence you have traded, and lastly if you have helped with cleanup or anything. You will turn that sheet in to a staff member collecting all sheets at the end of game. If you lose your sheet, we can still find you some paper and write it down, but please try to keep them out of your sweaty socks :D The below are not active for the September (October in-game) game. These are pending ideas that will be brought up at the last chance meeting for those who didn’t make the first meet: 2. Downtimes will now be broken into categories and players will be limited to one “Complex” downtime per person and up to 4 simple downtimes. Complex downtimes can be done in between games (the ones you turn in). Simple downtimes are done on site, at your check-in. John/Staff member will provide you with answers for up to 4 simple downtimes. -------Types of Downtimes------- ----Complex Dowtimes:---- - Lores: The existing player library will help to dictate what can be researched with a lore downtime Possibly require a new “Research” skill in addition to greater lore in order to use a downtime in between games - Prayer: A compendium of possible results of prayers may be compiled to help manage these downtimes. - Gather rumor: Switch to requiring influence (political/underworld) to gather rumors in downtime - Spread rumor Switch to requiring influence (political/underworld) to spread rumors in downtime This may be removed as a downtime action all together -Letters These would require you to utilize influence. In game effects would require more influence based actions in-game. Possibly may allow in game letter passing (still working out details/ideas) -------At-game downtimes (Simple)------- - Influence (track this on your character sheet) - Income - Resource Gathering (ie: gardening, herbalism, etc) - Production skills (ie: mining, etc) - Scouting (You scout by region/current events) - Prophetic Dreaming (would no longer cost a downtime, it would be a passive ability that may provide you with a dream, but you cannot control what you are looking for. May cost influence to try to gear your dreams in a specific direction) 3. Please take down your questions or suggestions and have them ready for the second meeting. Remember, the goal is that Twin Mask Staff needs a sustainable system that new staff teams would be able to come in and takeover fairly easily. Less time between games should be spent answering downtime actions, and more time building mods for the PCs. Downtimes are still wonderful for game and are loved by all, but please try to gear suggestions towards a sustainable system, and not just outsourcing duties. AND TADA NOTES BOOM YEAH.
