Hey everyone! We hope that you all stayed dry and out of the rain this weekend. Even though our adoptions were a little low, we couldnt be happier for the ones that found their perfect homes! It was definitely a weekend to remember! It was the first weekend we started our “A long for our longtimers” special and in all, FIVE animals were adopted or put on hold. Four dogs and one cat! Along with our new special we also moved in to our new home at PetCo! Our first adoption from PetCo was an orange tabby kitten named Raspberry! Make sure you come by and say hello! We said our goodbyes to two of our longtimers, Mack and Lucy! Our sweet little Mack is the last to get adopted from Lady’s puppies. He will have a new little human sister to grow up and play with! Mack’s new owners said that she cried for Mack the night before after seeing him for the first time. When they came back to see him the next day, they knew Mack was the right one. Lucy, who had been with us since February found her home with a very nice gentleman who wanted a sweet, calm, and relaxed dog to sit on the couch with him and be his lifetime buddy. After he met with Lucy and realized how perfect she was, he couldnt leave without her. He even said, “I know I’m the lucky one.” Everyone’s hearts were filled when they saw Lucy leaving and never looked back. Sonic also left the building with a man who had previously owned Rottweilers. Once he heard Sonic’s loud bark, he said that the hairs on the back of his neck stood up and he knew Sonic was the one after that. We had only one animal put on hold and it was Castello! This gorgeous blue pit bull caught the eye of a young man who wanted a dog to take to the river and lake! Once he heard that Castello LOVES water, he was so excited and had to put him on hold until next Friday.
