Hey, filmmakers. This might sound pretentious, but jump on Youtube sometimes and take a look at some of the old faces and characters in our industry that are gone now. You can learn a lot for free! Just watching Buddy Hackett tell a story is more compelling to me than sitting through 2 hours of many of todays mainstream comedies. Im not one of those people who thinks that if its newer, its of lower quality than of everything from yesteryear, but I do occasionally think something has been lost. Bill Murray is one of the few current talents who I think has the weight and aura that the comedy stars generally had back then. I plan on digging and keeping an open eye for characters as unique, interesting, and authentic as this guy right here. Ha, I even hope to become one, myself. Eh, anyway... sorry to preach.
