Hey folks... Anton here. As many of you are aware of, the band hasnt been doing too well. Money has been an issue, and it has cause many band break up teases. Many members have come and gone, mostly on good terms, and mostly for the same reason. The things we are trying to accomplish require massive budgets and time off of work, that are pretty much impossible, or at least, seem impossible to accomplish. I keep hearing stories of people who have made it, and at some points in their lives, became homeless because of this endeavor. Freaky stuff. But thats just the reality of it. Every member who has come and gone have been huge supporters of Candy Brain, and still continue to be, as well as our friends. The couple that have left on bad terms, weve attempted to keep on good terms and still pop up every now and then, and attempt to keep the terms good. I feel like giving this speech though, because Ive been in the band from the very beginning. I started it by myself, and experimented with lineups until it came to what it is today. Candy Brain is still continuing, and is very far along in its debut album The Inkwell. But due to many unforeseen circumstances, Im unable to continue with the band. There are enough reasons for me to write a novel about it, but many are personal. Let me end this by saying, that Bunny and I sat down, and talked about this. We are on very good terms, and she has my blessings. I believe in Candy Brain, and Bunnys abilities, and in many ways, I still support it. Im still letting her use all of my gear and instruments as if they were her own, so that she can carry this band on(including that awesome Candy Brain Guitar I recently modded). You may even see me working the merch table at shows. But this has become my final decision... it was being discussed privately for quite some time. There wont be a status two days later saying that I changed my mind. Ive already talked with someone and set up my replacement, which she plans on unfolding in a very creative way. Also, many know who are personal friends of mine on Facebook, that Ive been very disheartened by the scene, the industry, and the overall attitudes that go on behind the scenes in this whole genre of music. Its a very dirty business that centers around so much back-stabbing, exploiting, and scamming people to get ahead... even by people that youd least suspect it from. Needless to say, Ive witnessed many shit shows, and have had to pull back from many big opportunities, because of not wanting to be a part of such situations as well. I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported Candy Brain, and continues to support Candy Brain. Bunny has a great vision for this band, and she always has. Because of my involvement in this album, and how far along it is, I will be credited as the producer. I hope it gets done soon, and you all love it. Thank you all so much for your patience. I want to emphasize this, and make this very clear one more time, as rumors always seem to fly around. Despite the fact that I am leaving the band, I FULLY SUPPORT Bunny and Candy Brain. I think her new lineup is awesome. And you guys are gonna see a lot of kick ass shit in the near future. Thank you for having me. One thing I loved most about the band, and will miss are all the fans and supporters. You guys are awesome.
