Hey friends, Cheesy Nachos, Beer in frosted glasses, Pepperoni Pizza, and my buddies famous cheesy dip..... Thats just some of the usual spread I have at my place for Football Sundays which also happen to be my cheat day, where I can eat whatever my inner fat kid desires. Well after we watched my Cowboys Record Comeback and narrow victory over the Rams... my buddies and I lounged around and waited for our food to digest, before we got up for seconds. (Who am I fooling ... this was like, round number 4 for us.) While I was scooping the cheesy dip on my plate I looked up and my buddy, David, was still on the couch. You full? ... I said. He says ... A little, plus Im going to start my apple detox tomorrow. I nearly dropped my cheesy dip. My buddies know Ive helped transform tens of thousands of peoples bodies ... yet they still see me as just Vinny ... the guy who used to do keg stands butt-naked and then fall asleep in the bathtub. (Oh the good ol days...) So they rarely ask me for help. I asked David what this apple detox was about. He told me you eat nothing but organic apples for 3 days ... and something miraculous happens. I wished him luck and then continued to pile the cheesy dip on my plate. These gimmicks drive me freaking crazy! And thats all this is ... a gimmick ... David will eat apples for 3 days then go back to eating poorly. And what will have happened to David? Absolutely nothing. Just a total waste of time. If you want to make a change ... a real, permanent change ... then you need to incorporate things into your life that you can stick too. This is why I have a huge sign at the Vinny Compound that says ... Small Changes, Big Results Here are just a few examples of what I mean by that ... *Switch from normal ground beef ... to grass fed beef. *Substitute rice ... with quinoa or cauliflower rice. *Instead of using plastic containers ... use glass containers. *Use all natural supplements ... (which you can get through me personally at a discounted rate) *Get put on a healthy meal plan ... (which I can provide and attend to your fitness goals) These things add up and can make a massive difference in how you look and feel.
