Hey friends, I am an ambassador for White Ribbon because I abhor violence of any kind and it is particularly disturbing to me that there are still such high rates of extreme domestic violence occurring against women in this country every day. We cant continue to tolerate this and I urge any man who has ever bought one of my records, or come to see me play a show or is just reading this post to take the oath that they will never participate in, condone or remain quiet about domestic violence. I am sick of the misogyny that is still embedded in our culture and Im tired of seeing it played out in our daily lives day in and day out. I would love to think that my daughters may grow up in a world where they dont have to keep on explaining their rights and freedoms as women to a society that still just doesnt get it.
