Hey friends! We know some of you have been wondering what weve been up to, so we wanted to take a moment and update you guys. After 12 years of actively pursuing music, and pouring everything we have had in to it, we have decided to put the band on an indefinite hiatus. We do, however, have a full length album recorded, and almost mixed, that we will be releasing in the coming months. This was not an easy decision to make, but due to the state of the industry, recent business related events, and other personal factors, it has become increasingly difficult to tour like we need and want to. The record deal was a last attempt to make something happen, and seemed promising at the time of our signing. After making the necessary investment to make a full length record, we held up our end by writing and recording 10 songs for a full length record. As time passed, it became increasingly clear that no effort was going to be made to follow through with our deal and release the record. To make a long story slightly less long, we are no longer affiliated with a record label, and we are now in possession of our full length record. We are in the process of mixing it, and are seeking funding options for mastering and a release, as the remainder of our investment for the album has been lost in the debacle. We want to sincerely thank everyone for your continued support of us in this endeavor. This band has been such a huge part of our lives for so many years, it has taken on a soul of its own. SHAKEN as an entity will never go away, whether we as people are actively pursuing it or not. We fully intend to continue writing, recording, and releasing new music, and will, if an opportunity presents itself, take it further. We are excited to get this new music out to you guys, as we are very proud of it, and are of the opinion that it is the best material weve ever created. Stay tuned for more info on that!
