Hey friends, if you are interested in adopting a sweet, - TopicsExpress

Hey friends, if you are interested in adopting a sweet, highly-trainable, and 5-year-old female pitbull, please read on. Henry and I have been taking care of a good friend’s dog, Harlin, for the last 2 1/2 years. Her owner has been overseas working in India and was looking for a good home for her when she came to stay with us. She definitely grew into being a part of our furry family and we love her very much, but she now needs a new loving home. With our baby, Elliott, now in our lives, we are unable to provide the same adequate attention and care that Harlin needs. Harlin is spayed, microchipped, potty-trained, and very mellow. She is just under 50 lbs. and is on the shorter side for her breed. She interacts well with people and other medium-large dogs. She is, by nature, a strong dog, but doesn’t realize it. She gets very excited and wants to play with small animals and children, but hasn’t been trained to control her strength and behavior around them. If you have dedication and time to commit towards it, she could be trained into some better socialization habits. We’re not asking for any money, but whoever takes her may have to take her into the vet to update some of her vaccinations (current records will be provided). Harlin is overall in great health, with the exception of some skin sensitivity that is common among pitbulls. In the past, these issues have been easily treated with visits to the vet. As mentioned, she is a very sweet dog. She often spends her time cuddled up on her favorite bed. When you come home, you can find her wagging her tail and happily holding a toy for you in her mouth. When she’s feeling playful, she will come and roll over for a belly rub or crawl around on her belly for you. Her favorite snacks include bananas, apples, and we’ve even found that she likes a leaf of raw kale every now and then. :) If you, or anyone else, are interested in adopting Harlin and providing her with a loving home, please contact us. We’d love to have someone we know take her in before we post a listing on Craigslist. We need to find a home for her ASAP, so if there arent any takers, we will post on Craigslist by this weekend (1/31). Please feel free to share this post with anyone who may be looking for a new dog. Thank you!
