Hey friends, its our HEALTHY Monday, I apologise for the late post, you know it happens sometimes. Okay, our topic for today is Why Breakfast?. Yea, why should we have breakfast, you know sometimes we dont even feel hungry in the morning, we are pressed for time or its this other excuse of watching our weight. Well all of these can be taken care of if we take our breakfast to work,at least we would feel a little hungry when we get to work. We can also get it laid out the night before when we are pressed for time and eat on the way to work. And having breakfast is a sure way of helping watch our weight. Yea, got you! Having a healthy breakfast is the most important meal of the day and here are some reasons: 1. Breakfast provides energy the body requires to perform activities for the day. Our body goes without food during the hours of sleep, so breakfast means we break the fast, thereby giving our body and brain the energy needed to function. Starting the day with more energy makes us feel better throughout the day. 2. We develop a healthy eating pattern,we feel more satisfied and less likely to over eat or reach out for snacks which pack on the calories. 3.Breakfast kick starts the body into producing the enzymes needed to metabolise fat, helping to shed the pounds. Studies have shown that most people who have lost weight and kept it off eat breakfast every day. 4. A healthy breakfast helps us to be more efficient, thereby making for better concentration and productivity. 5. A clean healthy breakfast helps lower our cholesterol. 6.A balanced breakfast which contains protein, fat and carbohydrate keeps blood levels steady for hours, according to meals matter.org. Also, according to US researchers, those who eat breakfast are 50% less likely to have blood, sugar problems. Consequently, they have a decreased risk of developing diabetes or having high cholesterol levels which could lead to heart disease. Healthy eating means eating sensible, balanced amounts of the right foods at the right times, and you know that includes breakfast.
