Hey guys, I am writing you in order to let you know about a very interesting EVS program for the artists interested to spend one year abroad. If you are interested in the following topics: • art field performance: theatre, dance, music, street performance ( stilts, juggling, tight rope performance, magic tricks, acrobatics) • stage design ( installation, light design, costume design, special effects) • multimedia ( video editing, sound editing, video mapping, visual art ) • art therapy or you know someone who would be happy to join the project, please find below some more information about the program: The Gedi Tribe Project is a 12 month non-formal learning and cultural project, lasting from the 1st of October 2013 until the 1st of October 2014, involving volunteers from France, Portugal, Reuplic of Moldavia and Romania. The headquarters of the project is in Bucharest, but it travels in other 8 counties from Romania. It has two strategies of development: offering art therapy programs for young people with disabilities and distributing high quality social and cultural events in disadvantaged communities. After enriching their skills the volunteers will work on the creation of a big street performance, 2 documentary films, photo exhibitions, video installations and other cultural events. Because the aim of the project is to disseminate a skill and raise awareness of social problems, the participants will have the opportunity to work as trainers in peer-to-peer therapy art laboratories in disadvantaged communities, around Romania. The project covers: - 1 year sitting expenses for volunteers (accommodation and food) - 90 % of the plane ticket - 60 euro mounthly fee Volunteer’s profile: - Age between 18 and 30 - English language skills (medium level) - Flexibility, compassion, a sense of adventure, the desire to work with local people in the host community, responsibility Current status (places available): 3 persons needed, one from France, the other two from Portugal To apply for this project please send your cv as soon as possible at asociatiamacaia@live and if it is possible attach links, video and photo material with your work.
