Hey guys, So after a night of more than excellent conversation with my husband and some self searching today Ive decided that I am going to start donating the things Ive been making to people who need them. I am wanting to get away from selling my items online and while I intend to keep my digital patterns up and for sale, my crafted items will need a home. I will still make things for people who need/want something made and I will try to sell some of my talent though the Christmas season- but ive decided that the proceeds from ANY of my sales will go to yarn for donations. I need your help. I would like some local pueblo causes that really could benefit from my talent. Here is what Id like to do (crocheted): Meghan Brown mentioned about wedding dresses being made into baby gowns- I want to make crocheted versions of these mourning gowns. Or perhaps maybe even hats and small blankets/cocoons for this purpose. I need some help on this front because im not sure on sizing and where, and who to talk to. Hats for people in need- Homeless yes, but other people who may need one for their kids or themselves. A few folks from church have mentioned what to do on this note and i cant find the post for the life of me! I was thinking about running an add on craigslist but i dont know if thats a good option or not... Encouragement gifts for people struggling though a horrible time. Cancer, Mental health, etc. My thought is maybe a little gift and a note from someone who is thinking about them might help. Any other ideas? I average making between 2-4 items a week. I dont mind making things and dont really care what I am making- lol. Just truly keeping my hands busy while I am bumming around at night after Troah goes to bed. I cant think of who could use donated bath poofs or washrags- can you? :) any help, suggestions or anything is helpful!
