Hey guys bare with me. Im gonna make a long post cuz this warrants my thinking all along. As I stated on the other thread my 8 yr old daughter, has all over body eczema and we have been battling it since she was born. Never got better. We moved here to groves after Ike destroyed our BC home. After the storm, her eczema seemed to get worse the older she got. We did all allergy testing and allergy shots twice a day for 6 months, the shots never worked nor did any script ointments etc. She always seemed to have sinus inf, stomach probs, etc. we seriously began thinking she was allergic to water. At one point the only thing that helped her was to stay away from home. So we had our house checked for mold, insects etc. nothing came up. Each time we were home (in this area) she wood get worse. Now its 10x worse breaking out in those red hives etc. so finally pediatrician threw up her hands and told us to get her into Texas Childrens. Well they did a blood allergy test on her and she is severely allergic to all outside elements in our area (grass, oak, pecan, etc) food allergens: wheat, oats, peanuts Plus she only has lung capacity of 50% and has turned asthmatic. Never was she like this before, never allergic to outside, was always always playing outside. Now she has damaged lungs, always wheezing, headaches, sinus inf (but ENT dr says only inflamed nothing worth surgery), watery eyes. Constant drainage. My thoughts: something is in our local air and is now on the ground for this to happen. When she breaks out in hives its only below the waist to her toes. The drs she has seen is Immunologists, allergists, dermatologist, gastroentologist the lists go on,,, my linen closet is a medicine lab (literally) Ive always said that hurricane Ike washed something in and I fully believe it. Me , my husband, and son have never had soo many nose bleeds, sinus probs as we have had since moving to groves. I thought it was only me going crazy. This rash thing has me stumped too. Sorry so long but thought I would tell my story.
