Hey guys, so about the bookmark I suggested. Ive written the poem, now its just the rest of the physical bookmark itself to be created, which Paige Merrick and I have both discussed and have big ideas for. Heres the poem; let me know what you all think. :) Joyce was articulate and intelligent; a lover and a fighter, She completed courses in psychology and English and was pursuing to become a writer. She had selfless dreams, a heart for others; she wanted to change the world, And that is how the idea of ‘Joyce’s Little Free Library’ unfurled. Although Joyce had Muscular Dystrophy, she never let it hold her back, She was going to do what she had in mind, and had a plan of attack. Unfortunately, Joyce passed away before her vision came true, But her army of friends, family, even strangers, did all that they could do. Not only to keep her memory alive, but to also fulfil her dream, One link in a chain reaction; that is all you need. Now ‘Joyce’s Little Free Library’ is complete, and open for me and you. But there’s something else Joyce wanted, before her time was through. A bucket list of 102 literary greats, not all she got to read, Now it’s up to each of us, to help her to succeed. So grab a book and go on an adventure to a magical land, Escape reality for a bit, just as Joyce had planned. All we ask in return, after you are done, Is to bring the book back to its home and pick another one. If you wish to add another book to her little library, please dont hesitate. Theres no such thing as too many books, its something shed appreciate. The written word is a powerful thing, as Joyce was well aware, So keep on reading, keep on smiling, stay safe and take care.
