Hey guys theres been a few posts about X2 on this today and a lot of criticism on it. For me personally it is the best film so far. Some people have said they dont like the way the XMen use their powers in the first two films because they dont go crazy with their powers in. I would like to point out some things to people. These two films were made 13-15 years ago. Technology was a lot different then and special effects cost a lot more than they do now and were less impressive. Neither of these films had the budget of todays blockbuster film either. So although Storm for example isnt using her powers like in the comics it is simply because of budget constraints AND because of the time in which these films were made. On top of that is of course Singers attempt to make these films as real as possible and maybe Storm using her powers to create hurricanes is perhaps more real than her flying about throwing thunderbolts at the planes. But now in DOFP we have the budget, we have the technology and thats why Storm is flying and throwing thunderbolts. Storm I am just using as one example and she didnt do too much in DOFP with her pregnancy of course. So Im not disagreeing with anyone we are all entitled to different opinions otherwise this page would be pretty boring. But I am just offering up my view on these films taking into consideration the budget, the technology of the time AND the directors direction with the film.
