Hey, let me clear the air here about something that Billy Mink just posted. This is 100%, straight up, incorrect. Tensions can run high on Record Store Day when people show up late and dont get everything on their wish list. But throwing around unfounded accusations isnt cool. Anyone who was in line this morning can attest that we had a small (maybe 5% of our total order), late shipment scheduled to arrive at noon, and that I, Melanie, went down the line starting with the first person, offering those releases that were scheduled to arrive late to the people who had waited since 3am to get them. This was the morally correct way to handle an unideal situation. Its first come, first serve. We did not sell anything to ANYONE prior to Record Store Day. We did not hold anything prior to Record Store Day. All of the rare, super valuable releases were out there waiting for customers. We did not put anything on the internet. We had 100% of our stock out there when the doors opened, holding nothing back. We honor the spirit of Record Store Day in full. Many of us worked, and are currently working, really hard to make the best possible Record Store Day for all of our customers. We take exception to a person slandering us based on false assumptions.
