Hey people, this is very important - although Crocs have only played the Che Cafe a handful of times it was absolutely crucial to our musical development as people and where we forged a lot of the relationships that continue to affect us musically to this day. If you dont know, the Che is an all ages, volunteer run venue on UCSDs campus (though unaffiliated with the university). This was the one place we could go as teenagers that wasnt run by some asshole businessman who only wanted to make money off the kids; it was the only place that had punk shows that werent overrun by neo nazi assholes, and it was the only place that would give up and coming bands and musicians a place where they could grow within a supportive community. Its not where Charlie and I met, but it is where we first saw each other play music; its where we played our first shows (and hundreds more down the line). The Che is in our hearts! Please sign this petition to keep the place from closing so subsequent generations of weirdo creative youth have a place to go in San Diego!!!
