Hey, so I felt it necessary to make an announcement. - TopicsExpress

Hey, so I felt it necessary to make an announcement. Warpaintstudios as been going for almost a year now, I think and has become a bit of a beast to tame. I created it just as a means of somewhere to post pics of my minis and it soon became a way of meeting new friends and great artists involved in our hobby. There are several elements to the hobby, whether youre a painter, gamer or collector. Our page aims to cover all those aspects and so Chris Hibbert came aboard. He has done sterling work on the page and is very active within the hobby with his collecting prowess and knowledge of the new releases and so set about keeping you all updated with new releases and giving you reviews of some of the items he has since purchased himself. I am for the main part just a painter but have now caught the army building bug, and as such have just started collecting my Horus Heresy Death Guard. Today, we welcome aboard another content creator, I refer to him as our loregimp, although Josh says he’s a Loremaster. You decide. JASON “RED” MARTIN So I am 33 years of age, born and raised in Leeds and married with 2 kids, work crap shifts and juggle 3 working dogs with my hectic home life. I have been collecting war gaming miniatures on and off since mid 80s when I got bought a rogue trader marine which I duly painted bright orange and called it a blood angel! Since then Ive ventured into military vehicles but its only until contacting Red for a commission or two that Ive ventured outwards and discovered other games systems than GW and FW. I own every issue of white dwarf from issue 40 to present, all the forge world imperial armour books and have a horde of black library novels. My current obsessions are Pre heresy world eaters and Kingdom death. Ive developed an unhealthy obsession of “if I like a miniature ill buy it!” As such I have hordes of lovely resin figures without an ounce of paint having touched their fine forms. With the help of Red though Im starting to venture back into painting a little though so we’ll see how this pans out. I am the member of the studio that will generally keep you up to date with new releases and exciting stuff along with box openings and reviews. CHRISTOPHER HIBBERT. Greetings fellow hobbyists, Im here as your lore master, with that grand title I get two dwarfs, a Kine of Araw to carry my luggage and Thorondor, the Great Eagle to fly me around! Ill be giving out periodical weekly broadcasts about the latest released Warhammer 40,000 lore from Games Workshop and other realms, dipping into interesting topics such as the Horus Heresy, xenos and a week by week guide in creating your own lore accurate army. I first ventured into the modelling hobby when I was just 8, after I brought and built my first tiger one tank. Since then I have built, collected and painted hundreds of different models and game systems, from Medieval knights, to Napoleon Calvary, to the soldiers of WW2. It was only since 2004 that I started to collect Games Workshop Imperial Guard and Necron models, which I kinda lost interest in as I developed a passion for modelling terrain. I loved to create gaming boards for any scenario as Id often end up spending my weekends PVA gluing birdsand to my Omaha beaches and constructing my Imperial cities, which I will be glad to help any fellow terrain builder. I never lost sight of Games Workshop as I recently found a pile of White Dwarfs and codexs back to when I started the hobby. After attempting reading every Imperial Guard book the Black Library has produced, I am now piling my way through the Horus Heresy where I hope that Games Workshop will write an ending before I reach it! For the past two Games Day UKs I initially only went to meet the authors, now Im collecting my own pre heresy Iron Hand army. I dont play Warhammer 40,000 but if you wanted to teach me how to play, I might reconsider after 10 years of collecting! JOSHUA SHEEN.
