Hey, so just wanted to give an update on my whole career crisis revelation. Im excited and pleased to announce that I will be pursuing a degree in education and plan to teach high school ( freshman and sophomore level) English and composition classes. At this moment in time its looking likely that I will be moving back to Martinsville and attending IU Bloomington for a few years to achieve this. Its not the most stellar feeling to have to start over but to have had this realization and spark to my mind, the excitement of feeling like I have actually found my purpose in life is completely priceless especially after working as much as I have and being completely lost. The reason I am posting this is to maybe help some of my fellow classmates from VU or even some old high school friends. Its okay if you are 23 and have NO clue what the hell you are doing. Its okay if you feel lost and like you are left behind while everyone else seems to be achieving greatness. Some people know what they want very, very early, and some people get lucky and climb their ladder faster than others. Some people never figure it out. Some people like myself act on a single decision that made sense years ago and they lose their entire self chasing a goal that doesnt pertain to their life anymore for any reason. I did this, graduated from a university and landed myself into a dead end job waiting for the real one to come around without even realizing that it was never for me in the first place. If you find yourself wondering what the hell is wrong or why you are doing something; question it!!! Time is the most valuable and precious commodity we have on this earth and the quicker you start living and working for yourself the better you will be.
