Hey there Cats Lane members!! I have a question I would like some input on. In another cat themed group I am a member of, someone posted a question about her unaltered female going into increasingly long heat cycles and marking her house. She was inquiring as to whether or not she should take the poor kitty to the vet. My response was very short and to the point. I simply stated, Yes you should take her to the vet......to be spayed. That wasnt too well received by the poster. I then continued to explain, Heat cycles only get worse as they get older. She is clearly not a reputable and experienced breeder, so there is no good reason to have an unaltered pet cat. Its simply irresponsible. That also wasnt very well received. This woman had excuse after excuse as to why she hadnt had her cat altered. And yet group members jumped down my throat, calling me rude and judgmental, while they placated her and told her precisely what she wanted to hear. Thoughts???
