Hey yo As most of are starting school school soon, I wanted to briefly share what I learned last week when I was researching about education and how it relates to christian lives. I stumbled across an article titled “What should a Christian look like at school?”. This article describes what it means to be a christian, being a follower at school, and ideas of how we can live as christians at school. One part that caught my eye was this: What Christ does, Christians do. What Christ says, Christians say. Where Christ goes, Christians go. Jesus came to earth to help and serve others, not to be served, and he always told them about God on a level that they could understand. So I think we should start our new school year with two things in mind: helping people and talking/sharing about God. We do not need to do something grand to help people out. We can start out with helping people with projects, homework, or joining a club to serve the homeless. Whatever it is, look for a way to serve. As we help, we can talk about Jesus and about the good news and invite them to church! At the end, it comes down to this: What does a Christian look like at school? A servant. I pray that we can all be salt and light of our campuses, spreading love and bringing God glory, and that others may be able to tell that we are different from the people of this world. Matthew 20:26-28 But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Colossians 3:23-24 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.” Ephesians 6:7-8 serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free. 1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.”
