Heyyyy Everyone! Here are some FAQs answered for U23 Team India 2015! Please share them on your teams pages or as a status to help get the word out to as many people as possible! If you have more questions, leave them as comments :) Happy Monday! -Veera When/Where is U23 2015? TBA by WFDF. They are overdue for an announcement now. Will I have to bear the cost of travel/accommodation/kit? Dont worry about the costs right now. We are actively fundraising and seeking sponsorship. Will my financial situation affect my selection? No. When/where are the tryouts? First Selection: October at Chennai Heat. Second/Final round: Mid-January in Chennai also. What can I expect at tryouts? The selection event will consist of mostly games, with many different team compositions. Expect a focus on a few key skill sets and to walk away having learned something new! We will be sharing selection criteria with everyone soon. How many tryouts do I have to attend? Attend the Chennai Heat selection event. A group from that pool will then be invited to attend the mid Jan final camp. What if I’m not able to make it to Chennai Heat? Attending the camp will show us that you are committed to the team and the process. Those who can attend the first tryout probably have a better chance of making the final team. That being said, if a player cannot make the tryout, but would still like to try out, we can work something out. Those who are unable to make it should write to the selection committee detailing their reason for missing the camp. If the reason is valid we can then invite them through to the next round of selections. How many people will be selected? Between 18-28. Will there be practices? How frequent will they be? Where will they be held? Weekly practices will be posted for team members to complete and report back to the team. Funds permitting we will also host 3-5 weekend training camps prior to the tournament. For those able to access training in Chennai there may be daily group trainings throughout the 2015 build up.
