Hi AAA! Really really important stuff ~PLEASE READ~ I am currently in the process of creating an organization to combat the effects of chemical warfare used in the Vietnam War. Yes, the war happened several decades ago. However, the dioxins used are still contaminating the land, causing thousands of people (Vietnamese civilians and Vietnam War vets) to develop cancers and illnesses, as well as being born with birth defects, in a similar manner of the residual radiation from the nuclear bombs in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The aftermath of Agent Orange isnt as known by the general public, making it pretty difficult to get help for those who are currently being affected. This has less to do with Vietnam and more to do with being aware of the effects of war and being accountable for the damage done to other countries during wartime. Ive been in contact with a few organizations that raise awareness and funds for the cause and would really like to get this off the ground and make a difference for those who are suffering from the aftermath of a war through which they never even lived. Though the organization will be based at University of Illinois, any support would be welcome from anywhere.
