Hi ALL - I am sharing this post from something we ladies at church started to swing into a new lifestyle change of better health. Inviting all (women, men, families in general) to like the Facebook page PriorityMe for weekly updates similar to the below. #gethealthy ******** From PriorityMe: Welcome to PriorityMe ladies (men, and families)! Today makes Day One! Change happens continually, and our minds and bodies possess the strength to keep our temples wholly fit through the power of God. We have to make ourselves a priority in order to be the best we can for our God, children, spouse and life in general! We will spend time together praying, fasting, and sharing life experiences in how God is shaping our mind, body, and spirit. Through meal suggestions, exercise tips, and accountability to God and each other, we will see us better in Jesus name! Today is Day One. Every day is Day One. On this very first day of Day One, I want you to take a picture of yourself. Each month we will each take a picture of ourselves (as full length/body as you are able to take of yourself) as a reflection. The goal isnt to only see the weight and strength shift, but we will be looking in to ours eyes, our expressions, our body language, along with our weight & strength shift. Being in shape is an overall wellbeing, and that is what is special about each of us. Pray, read, and fast on this ladies. Being a lady is an honor, a privilege, and a blessing. Water reminder: Just like the Living Water cleanses us, so does the physical water. Remember to drink water ALL throughout the day, sipping and drinking at least half your body weight in ounces. For example, if your weight is 150 pounds, you will need to drink at least 75 ounces of water. This weeks meal challenge: Check out these websites! If you would like to be added to our email distribution, please message me and I will add you. Meals/Recipes will come out weekly from various websites for 5 days of the week: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. greatist/health/cheap-healthy-recipe-collection realsimple/food-recipes/index.html This weeks exercise challenge: Get active! 10,000 a steps is equivalent to 5 miles, and 2,000 step equals 1 mile. I will tell you that I am using my friend and personal trainer Karen Butler with KBFit2020. For just $20 a month you receive great information, videos, and motivation to GET ACTIVE. Fat Loss Tip I learned from physical trainer and friend Karen Butler with KBFit2020: Dont eat within 60 minutes before your workout. Not having a lot of insulin in your blood stream and having your blood sugar levels stable can potentially allow you to tap right into your own body fat storage and use it as fuel. Not everyone agrees on this approach but it may be worth trying to see if it gives you an edge. Just make sure you have enough fuel to be able to train hard otherwise it becomes counterproductive. Note: * Feel free to include any friends or families by forwarding this post (and/or email distribution) and inviting them to join the Facebook page PriorityMe. If you will forward them to me I will add them to the email distribution list. ~ Love God, Love People Make every day count, Nikki Smith, PrioityMe
