Hi All, HALLOWEEN……so I woke up this morning and observed a minutes silence (What else do you do when you have just woken up and are all alone?) in memory of Erik Weisz who as Harry Houdini passed away 87 years ago today. Am on a high this morning as last night I had two spectacular shows with absolutely packed crowds. The ship is booked to capacity of 2,700+ with 800+ Australians and Kiwis, 600+ Americans nearly 500 Brits and just under 400 Canadians. (The balance is a sprinkling of nationalities) With that predomination of English speaking I could do no wrong and got some huge laughs taking the piss out of the Australians (before I let on that I am a Kiwi) My accent is such a mess no one can work out where I am from. I had just finished my second show and was on my way back to my cabin to get out of a saturated tuxedo when I was stopped by a group of six or eight Canadians. They said they had just been discussing my show and a couple of weeks before joining the ship had spent a few days in Las Vegas. They had agreed that my show was better than anything they had seen in Vegas. I wonder if they saw any shows in Vegas? Today we are in Sihanoukville (Cambodia), tomorrow Bangkok, the next day Ko Samui (Thailand) and then after a day at sea Singapore and the next cruise starts. Can’t believe how fast the time is flying. Cheers, Bernard.
