Hi All, I am going to post some details here. I notice that many have similar concerns - with regard to Job Prospects, Applications. And, Id like to answer everyones questions here because I know it will be helpful, and I type out the same thing several times (quite redundant). I am sure the others on this group would agree with a few of the points I am making, and if not, they may add their own points to this as well. 1) Job Prospects: Although it may seem like a very specific question, there is no way that anyone can give you a proper idea of the scenario. Because, this depends entirely on you and the domain you are looking at (specialization, Domain, area of interest and field). You could pick Gaming / Scientific Visualization / Animation / Media and could be looking at various roles Developer / Researcher / Design. I would suggest you look at the online job portals before deciding. Then again, I know that a few students do get great recommendations from their Professors. Your options increase if you are not just looking at Singapore as your destination. But, again, this depends entirely on you. Like I said, there is no way one can answer this question without getting all the specifics, and even then it would depend on who you are asking and if they know from experience what it is like to look for a job in that domain. But generally, it is a little hard - the job scenario. So be prepared to wait out 8 months before anything looks up. 2) Applications : The questions people ask me is how do they select their students. Frankly, I do not know. As in the case of every other University, ever little thing you think may add weight to your application should count. And they do revise their policies every year, so then again, it is tough to tell. I suggest you apply very early so that your application stands a good chance of getting selected. Typically, the first few applications would get a priority. If your application comes in after seats are filled, you may / may not be wait-listed. And its advisable to ensure thats not it - unless you are prepared to take in a few months of the am i in / am i out dilemma. You will have to check the website regularly to see if your name made out of the wait list to the accept list. If all seats are taken, then the wait-listed candidates should apply again the next time and try their luck then. I hope that helps. And please feel free to type in your queries on the forum itself. That should give you answers from a wider pool. Good Luck.
