Hi All! I didnt want to have to do this, but Mom & I figure were all gonna find out anyway, and as we all know NaNa was a people person, who would light up the room. Ive learned so much from her, as she was always there for me and everyone; never asking for anything in return. Im so grateful that I can be part of family like ours, and that I was able to see and talk to her Thursday Night. We knew this was coming, and now shes no longer suffering. NaNa had a wonderful life, plenty of great friends, memories, laughs, recipes, love for agriculture and the community. I know that right now shes probably fussing about one us, quilting, make handicrafts, as she could take anything and make it special with her own unique spin, getting to cook that Thanksgiving dinner she was just talking about 2 days ago, complete with her trip she would make faithfully with Eric to Penn State each year for 40+ pound turkey, and she indeed can have her pumpkin pie with turkey gravy. Or going to Amish Country each year for her birthday, to get those she had to have to can for the winter, hunting for those pesky groundhogs that would eat the garden as only she could sit in her lawn chair with the 410 ready, and sending out the many cards to friends & family for birthdays, holidays or just say hello. As I said in the beginning, and I learned more than you learn with a PhD for this woman, that cant teach this kind of stuff in books, and I know that part of NaNa lives on in my mother, aunts, and all of us. So NaNa, heres to you; you were a one of kind NaNa full of love, laughter, quick wit, tempor, faith, style, grace, and of course a Litman function could not be complete without a full course made from scratch meal, just save me a piece of your Mincemeat Pie when I see you again. I could go on, but Id be here for a coupel of days. As NaNa always said, just spit it out, dont be bashful! With that said...Thank You.
