Hi All. I was hoping someone here may be able to help me out here. Quoting/charging is something Im sure we have all lost sleep over and it continues to bug me. Charge too much you lose the client, undercharge and it gives the perception your work is unprofessional and substandard. I have recently been approached by a business wanting to book me for some head and shoulder shots for their employees. Of course, they want a costing which I sent out accordingly. Finding a price for your work is difficult and finding a fair price which both parties agree on seems impossible. I havent heard back from the client so I assume theyve gone elsewhere. I am relitavely new to charging for my work but feel I am at a standard where a charge is deserved...besides, they approached me through a recommendation. Id be interested to hear peoples thoughts on this. I only charged $20 per head shot...whilst doing some research this seems like a really good price. Any ideas or thoughts would be much appreciated.
