Hi All ~ Ive been reflecting on a practice I use thats been life-changing for me, for several years now. I still have so much to learn! I also use this practice professionally, whether Im doing therapy, teaching relaxation and stress management, or Reiki. The practice is MINDFULNESS. Im going to share aspects of this in two parts. (Two posts.) This first post is about a technique called ECHOLOCATION. Used by bats and dolphins, for example, it is also used by a small number of people who are completely blind. The piece about Ben Underwood is around 4o minutes or so. The following, about Daneil Kish, is just a few minutes. Watching the videos of these wonderful men will demonstrate how echolocation works, and permits them to be full participants in the world around them. It is moving and marvelous.
