Hi All Our client in Brunei have a position for Special Need Teacher. If you know of anyone who are trained and have experience and interested do get them to send their resume to saleluniaz@gmail Position: Special Need Teacher (Brunei) A Special Need Teacher is specifically employed to work with children who need extra support or require an advanced or specifically design programme of education in order to complete their learning successfully. Special Need Teacher may work with individuals who are physically disabled, sensory impaired (i.e. deaf/blind), have speech and language difficulties such as dyslexia, or children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), are emotionally vulnerable, have behavioural difficulties or have a combination of these disabilities. A key aspect of working in this field is identifying individual needs and being responsible for creating a safe, stimulating and supportive learning environment. The candidate work is often challenging and varied and may involve: 1) Teaching either individuals or small groups of pupils within or outside the class; 2) Preparing lessons and resources; 3) Marking and assessing work; 4) Developing and adapting conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of pupils; using special equipment and facilities, such as audiovisual materials and computers to stimulate interest in learning; using specialist skills, 5) Collaborating with the classroom teacher to define appropriate activities for the pupils in relation to the curriculum; 6) Assessing children who have long or short-term learning difficulties and working with colleagues to identify individual pupils special needs; 7) Liaising with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists; liaising closely with parents and guardians; 8) Organising learning outside the classroom in activities such as community visits, school outings or sporting events; assisting in severely disabled pupils personal care/medical needs; administration, including updating and maintaining records on pupils progress; 9) Attending meetings, reviews, regarding students with other school teachers, which may involve reviewing statements of special educational needs; 10) Behaviour management. 11) Writing students report 12) Willing to relocate to Brunei 13) Have experience working with children with special needs especially Autism. 14) Team player 15) Able to work independently 16) Only shortlisted candidate will be notified
