Hi All We have enjoyed the last two weeks of Spring Camps, and I am convinced that every player who attended were keen to improve themselves in view of the various summer football competitions (that grow from strength to strength especially in the Northern Beaches region) or upcoming trials and the winter season. Many BSS players are involved in local summer competitions and indeed many BSS players have joined up to form their own temporary summer teams which is really pleasing. Additionally we have many current and ex BSS players who are playing for the new NSW State rep Futsal club called Northside UTS and I wish everyone playing this summer good luck! For me, it’s great to see kids playing football all year round and not just shelve football until March each year for winter. Football can be practised, preached and enjoyed all year round whether it be played officially, in the park or through coaching sessions or watched from the comfort of the sofa or stadium. Better still just kicking a ball around in the streets, backyard or in the school playground. It is a very positive discipline and something that can be improved upon no matter what age either on your own or with mates. We will continue with our usual Term programmes in Term 4 and also with a couple of extra advanced Academy sessions for those players that are currently playing top graded football or preparing for State Rep trials or SAP trials. Again, there are trials at the end of October for State level football and many BSS players are easily equipped to perform well should they attend.
