Hi All, Well, Nicole got thru her chemo on Tuesday fairly - TopicsExpress

Hi All, Well, Nicole got thru her chemo on Tuesday fairly smoothly. I like to wait a day or two before updating now to really be clear about what shes really going thru....That having been said, I think were on a slow-rising upswing. Thank GOODNESS!!! The largest tell-tale sign for me is that she is bored! Last week, she was good about staying home and caring for herself. This week, shes doing it, buuuuuuuuuuutttt..... I asked her, upon arriving home today, if she wanted to moonstone hunting at our beach, knowing it would be a chore but that she was bored. There was no sigh, and no waffling. She was, like, you ready? After chemo on Tuesday, we had one of those special, spouses only moments that was, really, very cute (well, for ME)......it was one of those glimpses in time where nobody else will ever get the full story? Mostly because the lady fails to see much of the humor, and the guy kinda enjoys living too much to tell the entire tale......but it WAS endearing (again, for ME). The Readers Digest version is: Nicole wanted to go to Costco....She lured me by saying we could have Panda Express for dinner since it was right there.....and the rest will be left to imagination (Mind you, wed just eaten FAST FOOD). Nicky? I loooooooooove youuuuuu..... *:x lovestruck *O:-) angel We are going again next Tuesday. Well, she is (with Mom).........I was not invited back! Juuust kidding....its Moms turn. I go again on the 3rd of February. Today, I got to go to work and let my mind wrap itself around the GOOD stuff of life....Im healthy, happy, and my mind is still in OK shape. My friend Mike Becker (at work) has kept me sane, let me cry (if needed) and puts up with my warped sense of humor on a near-daily basis. Thanks Mike! I see many of Nicoles friends on a daily basis and they have been TREMENDOUSLY good for the health of my heart and soul. To see her friends offer their love and support - some even offered to cover for her jobs so she would not lose her positions, but Nicoles bosses (Kara Breen and Lisa Johnson) at her two jobs are BEAUTIFUL souls who are also two of her biggest supporters! I was able to see Lisa at work today (looking for an update) as well as 3 other friends of Nicoles - all patiently waiting to see How OUR GIRL is doing? Can they be any sweeter?! Maureen Kaspar comes in OFTEN to get news, not only for her, but for her Mother who keeps very close tabs as well. This is one of the perks of working at the only grocery store in our area.......I am now part of a community! Debbie Mactavish had some pink bracelets made (Nicoles name is on them) and many people we know wear them daily and proudly! We already know hey are making their way across the state! For those not in our area.......we are 2.5 hours DUE WEST of Fresno (2.5 hours NW of Bakersfield), by Hearst Castle and about 1-hour +/- north of Pismo Beach........ I look out right now at a gorgeous, picturesque (get that David Lubic?) sunset..... My wife is dancing around in the kitchen ...... making Chicken Parmesan?? Our dog, DAISY is looking for oopsies (scraps)....Yap, were feeling OK today, all right! Hopefully, my next update will be next Weds (but give me until Thursday - or come see me).. ~Alan & Nicole
