Hi All, Yesterday we had our van broken into at the information centre car park in Nelson. Among the usuals like cameras and tramping equipment, a bag of ALL our sport climbing gear was taken along with a whole lot of other gear including camera and walking shoes. Please could you keep an eye out for my gear. It is marked with a green dot of nail polish on metal surfaces. Gear taken was in an orange Arcteryx Muira 50 with a few broken tabs with chord replacement and included: -La Sportiva Muira lace size 39 well worn and pretty heinously stinky -LA Sportiva testarossas size 39, again well worn and stinky -Scarpa womens Thunder purple size 40 -Black Diamond Chaos harness small green with climbing tape on the bottom tie in loop -Black Diamond Primrose harness -2 atc guides grey and green the Grey being well worn -2 petzl Williams hms screw gates -gri gri 2 orange and well worn -petzl ascension left hander -2 black diamond magnatron rocklock auto lockers very well worn -6 black Diamond positron screw gates usually attached to PAS22 or Metolius ultimate daisy or Prussik chords. -Metolius PAS 22 black and green well worn -Metolius ultimate daisy chain orange near new -lots of fluoro green and blue prussiKS. -Petzl Elia womens helmet near new white and blue with go pro helmet mount -petzl Elios helmet white and grey very well worn -black Diamond super chute rope bag blue containing Sterling Marathon 10.1mm 60m rope green and yellow very dirty from good use! -draws: 6 petzl spirit express draws 2 of which are long ones. 3 draws made from black Diamond gold positron biners with petzl express dog bones. 4 alpine draws made with black Diamond purple nitron biners and black diamond 60cm slings. -chalk bag is an Organic brand chalk bag green grey and camo with fluoro green aND blue waist belt. The chalk bag also had a black diamond toothbrush in it. This chalk bag is custom made -pink and purple evolve chalk bag -3 red Axis screw gates well worn -black Diamond gridlock biner that should be attached to my gri gri Like I said, 99% of my aluminium gear is marked with a single green dot of nail polish. Please let all your climbing friends know around Nelson and further south to watch out for this gear. Chances are all my gear will end up in a dumpster because whoever took it doesnt know what it is and Im guessing most climbers wouldnt go for second hand gear like ropes, draws and daisys etc. Additionally if anyone comes across these SD cards please hand them into the Nelson iSite or IM me. There were some epic shots of around the South Island on them and it is a totally waste if they end up in the bin or erased. A lot of these photos came with blood sweat and bit of sketch and personal safety growth (Kate loved the shale slope of the remarkables...) Much appreciated if the NZ people could share and happy adventures. Dont let people like the ones who took our shit deter you. Jess
