Hi Army, Matt went in for his 3rd clinic visit today since leaving the hospital. Our list of questions for the doctor included things like why is Matt feeling so well which seems strange but we had prepared ourselves for so many things to go wrong and at this point (knock on wood) nothing drastic has happened. The doctor assured Matt that some patients have an easy road and that his is nowhere near complete. There are still uncertainties in the future as GVH has a tendency to show up after day +30. We are at day +22. Otherwise, the doctor is extremely happy with his progress and although he is fatigued Matt continues to stay active and eat! Being home all the time is becoming the biggest challenge. Matt is constantly asking if Im bored and I know he hates being cooped up as well. My health is a little shaken up with some severe inflammation in my joints that my doctors are continuing to run tests on to find an answer. Perfect timing, right? Along with the pain I also feel like a bull in a china shop, knocking this over, letting that fall, ripping holes in my pants. Yesterday I managed to fling an entire sloppy joe on the couch, a blanket, my shoes and a white rug in our living room. And I made it extra sloppy!! Matt and I could only laugh at the ridiculousness of it all but its been exhausting being swollen and clumsy, constantly cleaning. Yes, the house is fully decorated for Christmas and has been for more than a week. We figured we deserve a little extra Christmas cheer this year and if we have to be home all the time we might as well be comfy-cozy :) The future is looking bright if Matt continues to feel as good as he does but the days are long. We always welcome people who want to stop by and break it up so dont hesitate to call or shoot a message if you are in the area. Thanks for listening, laughing and loving us so much, Army!
