Hi Boys, Surprise, Surprise a wet thursday night for training before our first game. Firstly congratulations to all of you for saddling up for another year of cricket!! Congratulations to Glendon Bentley (first grade), John Ioannou (third grade) and Simon Maher (fifth grade) on being named as captains of our particular teams. Lets apply ourselves for fifty overs batting and fifty overs in the field. Lapses in concentration can cost us dearly. Set ourselves targets with bowling/batting partnerships. Small easy to measure goals. Will keep us switched on for longer/whole innings. lets not get impatient with bat or ball. Bowl enough balls in the right area/ bat some time in the middle and the runs will come. Be patient its the first game of the year so spend some time in the middle and enjoy!!
