Hi Church Family, God, in his brilliant and perfect timing, - TopicsExpress

Hi Church Family, God, in his brilliant and perfect timing, has us looking at John 4 in our teaching series. This week we are discussing worshipping in spirit and in truth. At the exact time we are moving into a new season of worship as a church. The Holy Spirit has so deeply moved upon us, calling us to take a look through his eyes at our worship from top to bottom, with one sole purpose in mind: that Jesus be exalted and lifted up in the greatest possible measure. The question is what honors God, not what style do I like. It’s not about old or new, soft or loud, young or old; it’s about the Spirit of God moving in such a way that our hearts explode with joy—our whole lives bowed in humble admiration to our King. This Sunday, in a message I’m calling Not Everyone Who Sings Lord, Lord…,I believe you will receive a fresh touch from God that will set you free to sing in spirit and in truth. The woman at the well started her day bound by sin, buried in rejection and broken by life, but in just a few moments with Jesus, she had a new song in her heart. This is my hope for you this weekend. With sadness and joy, I share that Aleena Grace Bissig went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 19. We will pray together corporately on Sunday for the Bissig family. They will have a private memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in memory of Aleena Grace to World Challenge for the Syrian Refugee Babies. Please make checks payable to World Challenge with PPTB – Syrian Babies in the memo. The check can be sent to World Challenge, 1515 Auto Mall Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80920. See you on Sunday, Pastor Gary Upcoming events: Women’s Night of Worship | Fri, Dec 5 at 6:30p in the Auditorium Membership Class – Sat, Dec 6 at 10a in Classroom 2
