Hi Club members……..normally you would have received your Fall - TopicsExpress

Hi Club members……..normally you would have received your Fall newsletter today, two weeks before the next meeting but thanks to the mess with Belle Cooledge Library, another meeting was up in the air until yesterday afternoon. WE WILL have a meeting two weeks from now, October 25 but not at Cooledge. We are done with them and their constant harassment. We will meet at the ROBBIE WATERS library; 7335 Gloria Drive 95831. I did write the newsletter as soon as I got confirmation and it is at the print shop now and Bill and I will process them as soon as I get them back, so you should have them at the latest on Friday. The meeting will be held from 5-8 and Father Dimitri will be there to do the pre-hibernation checkups!! Getting to Mings Printing is a trip I wont forget too soon. I went by myself in my old station wagon which is in good shape and just as I pulled up to the door, the red light indicating overheating came on and as I turned the car off, steam began filling the car and I got out as fast as possible and thought the car was on fire! Obviously, there was no water in the radiator. I had a new radiator put in last month - why would this happen? Where did the water go? When? There was no puddle in the garage. Bill came to rescue me and confirmed the radiator was empty. I reached in for my purse which I had placed on the floor on the passenger side of the car. A little while later, I noticed oily greasy stuff dripping out of the bag and it was all over my hands, shoes, the ground and I could not understand what it was. Bill said I probably had my bag on some grease. THAT MUCH? So I opened the door and looked more closely and was AGHAST to see that ALL OF THE ANTIFREEZE was on the FLOOR on the passenger side INSIDE THE CAR!!!!!!! Bill thinks the heater hose blew out since thats the ONLY hose inside of the car which is otherwise protected by a firewall……Mr. Ming did put water into my radiator and I got home safely without any problem…….but will be at Freeport Automotive on Monday morning. I dont think the carpeting will be salvageable, do you? (Bill would have been scalded had he chose to come with me)……..we never know what surprise is next, do we?
