Hi Everyone! Coach Al here. I felt compelled to share something - TopicsExpress

Hi Everyone! Coach Al here. I felt compelled to share something with all of you today: I was just reading through a race-report from one of our team members, Becky Hemmeryck, from Canada. I really enjoyed it! She went through a long hard journey from oft-injured, frustrated triathlete, to a solid and strong 5:41 Half Iron finish this past weekend, and she did it in style with a lot of hard work and stick-to-it-ive-ness! :) In her report, she wrapped it with these two paragraphs which Ive pasted below. I think her words summarize, as well as anything anyone could say, the work we do here at PAP with our team. Thank you for sharing Becky, and congratulations on your race! Keep on keeping on! ----------- On my drive home I was belting out Billy Joels Its still Rock and Roll to Me (yes alone, I dont sing in public for good reason!) and I dont know why but I got all emotional and teary- Id had this absolutely amazing, perfect day, I had wanted for so long to have a race like this and prove to myself that I can DO this sport. I can swim and bike and run but I had never been able to string it all together into what I felt was a good race, I was still just trying to be a triathlete. I guess that probably sounds a lot hard on myself but yesterday I showed myself that its possible. This truly was an epic day for me, not ever sure how I will top it but I am enjoying it for as long as it lasts. I feel so blessed to have found the team at Team Pursuit. Dr. Kurt and Coach Al got me started, and a long ways down the path to helping get me to stop training myself into an injury every race and Coach Susan has fine tuned that work and given me a new found belief in myself. I have been thankful for a long time that I have had the opportunity to learn to train smarter, now it is so very rewarding to see it pay off.
