Hi Everyone, Here is a story... I was diagnosed with - TopicsExpress

Hi Everyone, Here is a story... I was diagnosed with diverticulitis at the beginning of July. In August I went in for a colonoscopy and the doctor sent me straight to the emergency room. After my second CAT scan the ER doctor said that the infection looks like its getting better and he was going to send me home with more antibiotics. After some discussion I convinced him to call the butt-camera doctor. Afterwards he somewhat begrudgingly said that apparently the butt-camera sees something that he doesnt and finally (half-heartedly I might add,) agreed to admit me. Willikers... it wasnt diverticulitis! Nope, It was a big blockage in my colon! (YAY.) The following day subsequent to my surgery, my surgeon self-assuredly sauntered by my single bed to say that hed spotted a smidgen of cancer. In my butt. Sufferin succotash! He told me that he was able to get everything and that I am a lucky guy. A couple hours later my butt-camera doctor came by. It turns out Im not so lucky guy. My diverticulitis was actually colon cancer and the antibiotics Id been taking over the last month havent really been doing anything except increasing my resistance to antibiotics. So, heres the birds-eye-low-down on this caper; Im looking a diagnosis of mid-stage three colon cancer. I start chemo on the 7th and hopefully in about six months Ill have kicked this thing in the ass. (Ass! get it? Colon cancer... ass.) Anyway, Im VERY confident that I can beat this thing so please dont send any Im sooo sorry stuff. Rather, simply click on the convenient link below and donate something to cancer research. You can get merch (NOT swag. S.W.A.G. is Stuff We All Get. That is a rant all its own.) ranging from five bucks to sixty. You can get stuff for yourself, for your dog, for a kid or you can just send cash. (Id at least get a t-shirt or a hat). CMON! You know you wanna help poor dying people (and little kids and puppies with big sad eyes...) Just Donate. Once you’ve donated, please share it on FB to encourage more of our friends to support cancer research. I know that I can count on ALL of my bartender and server friends to at least get a t-shirt. I only have 139 official Facebook friends. If I can’t count on 10% of you to help me out then I’m just gonna bail on this social media stuff. 14 people. That’s all I ask. Can 14 of you buy a hat or t-shirt? Thanks, Moon Btw, if you know me by Moon, go get your butt screened. It doesnt matter if your a dude or dudette, you are more than likely old like me. (Ettes should go get their boobies checked as well.) 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women will get cancer. Just get screened. If Id have left the ER with another bottle of antibiotics I more than likely would only have a six percent chance of living another five years. standup2cancer.org/
