Hi Everyone, I like to write a little something to share with you - TopicsExpress

Hi Everyone, I like to write a little something to share with you from time to time about how my life is going under the circumstances in which I currently find myself. First of all, let me publicly say “THANKS” to Emily for her very professional running of the daily operations of the charity that is paying my bills and keeping me fed. Through the help of her charity, I am able to live each day with less worry about day-to-day living expenses. Many of you have stepped up to donate to my well-being and are continuing to do so. I will never forget you for that, nor will I forget that your sacrifices have given me a better chance for healing since I have less to worry about, even though there are no guarantees and no promises in regards to the future outcome. If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen that I had several surprise visitors over the last few days. Their presence here in Wilmington took me the places that I dont normally frequent, like to the riverfront in our downtown area. Special thanks go out to Pete and Kathy and to Norm and Cheryl for stopping in to brighten my days, to check in on me, and to entertain me with their great company and some excellent meals to which they treated us. It and is all the more special when good friends they come out of nowhere to let you know that you are special too! We had a great BB-gun tournament in my backyard with Pete and Kathy that was so much fun. Im sure that will all talk about that for a long time. Poodle Lockheart introduced us to some new friends, Maureen and Ed, who own Wilmington Water Tours. Maureen and Ed have taken us for a couple of therapeutic boat rides on their private boat. As a former nurse, Maureen knows the value of treating the mental and spiritual health during this fight with cancer. The peace and tranquility of those rides have reminded me to play my guitar and sing my songs, which also bring about a similar peace and tranquility. I go in and meet with the oncologist again tomorrow and will find out what the next course of treatment will be. Your thoughts and prayers will be most welcome over the next few days. Thank you again for all of the love, support, and funds you have sent to help me out. I am forever grateful to each of you. Love Always, Hugo
