Hi Everyone! Interested in learning to fly? I’m looking to start a gliding society and in order to do so I need to find 20 potential members and two volunteers to become committee members to help me with the running of soc. If youve ever wanted to learn to fly then nows your chance! Im running a trip to do trial flights on Dec 3rd and have only two spaces left! Get your name down quickly :) What is gliding? Gliding is the sport of flying an aircraft without an engine using nothing but the power of the atmosphere to fly high and further. Its one of the cheapest and most thrilling ways to fly! We will be flying at Black Mountains Gliding Club approximately a 1:15 hours drive from Cardiff. The club has one of the best average flight times in the UK, a fleet of sophisticated 1 and 2 seater sailplanes and one very powerful Pawnee tug aircraft. How much will it cost? It costs £20 to join up to Black Mountains Gliding Club (if youre under 25 on a full time course). Flights for students cost around ~£20 for 30 minutes and ~£30 for an hour of flying. Instruction is free! (The cost of each flight is dependent on launch height so each fly varies in cost a small amount).
