Hi Everyone! My dad is planning to write a detailed update at some point today, but I wanted to give you a brief update and include some specific ways to pray. I know the Lord has put my mom on so many of your hearts, and we thank-you for lifting her and our whole family up. Things have been busy and hectic as they are trying to figure out what is causing such bad pain. They did a series of scans yesterday, and found that the liver is very enlarged. This is causing the bloating in her digestive system and resulting in tremendous pain. She has also been on small doses of morphine as needed to try and help with the pain, but the morphine can cause bloating and gas as well and actually contribute to the problem. Its vicious cycle that we are praying will end SOON! If you would like to send notes of encouragement, written prayers or scriptures feel free to send them to my dad ([email protected]) and he can read them to her. As you pray here are some specifics: Praises: -My dad is able to stay the entire trip. He was originally planning to come home last weekend, but is able to stay and be a huge support for my mom. -There has been lots of prayer and encouragement from staff and other patients at the hospital. -Flexible travel abilities Requests: -COMPLETE healing! -Her liver will function properly and return to normal size -She will experience no more pain -She will be encouraged emotionally…my dad said this morning has been particularly tough for her -The gas and bloating will be resolved so that she can get off pain medication Much Love
