Hi Everyone Thanks for all of your support during this long and sleepless week. We will be taking Bennigan in on Tuesday (Nov. 18) at 6:00 p.m. to put him out of his suffering. After one week of trying everything that we can to eliminate the sources/causes of his pain, we now know that it is most likely bone cancer. I am not a radiologist but I could see the holes in his shoulder bone on the x-ray without anyone telling me this. Our hearts are breaking to let go of yet another Bouv but we will not prolong his life while he lives in a drug induced state to keep him out of pain. He gave me the look yesterday afternoon and having been down this road more times than we would like to remember - I know this look and we just want to end his suffering. Isnt it so great that we have the opportunity to do this for our pets? He will be joining our many Bouviers whom have rescued us and wait at the Rainbow Bridge....Tackle, Lola, Rocky, Lance, Charity, Barney, Oomen and Faith.
