Hi Everyone The food pantry is critically low on soup and protein! I spoke with the coordinator and she stated how difficult it is knowing a Mom with six children only gets to feed her children one SMALL can of chicken (herself included) for the ENTIRE week. I asked myself how could I see my children hungry! She also said the 200 people who can pull from that pantry get very very little because there is little to give. YES the Empty Bowl project is coming up and we still need to put all hands in but RIGHT NOW the people in the community are HUNGRY. Please dont yell at me for pleading to yall, this pantry needs our help and immediately. Cans of soup, cans of chicken, Vienna sausages, Spam, any protein that doesnt need to be cooked like peanut butter. If you want to take this a step further please ask your corporations, your bosses your neighbors if they will donate items to this very important need. Its tax deductible. If the pantry could fill their shelves it would be a great relief to those who volunteer there and to the Moms trying to feed their children and to that Senior whos nutrition is so vital (everyone deserves to eat) and also to that single person desperate to fill their empty stomachs.
