Hi Friendians. I cancelled my trip to Koh Samui due to bad weather. Quite weird coz last Sunday morning I heard the AirAsia flight to Kuala Lumpur take off - it flies over my valley home and makes a hell of a noise because it is such a huge jet. Thought to myself, geez I am glad I am not on that plane, flying into bad weather. (monsoons, floods etc) How can they do that? (Ie the airline and the poor passengers who put all of their faith into the airline). Rolled over, went back to sleep and woke up later and I cancelled my flight, gut instinct overruling and my self-preservation button clicked on. Heck I am a mother of 5 beautiful kids. Why take that chance? Then the tragic bulletin flashed on. Poor darlings. Anyhoos, the wanderlust cannot be tamed. Am considering Luang Prabang, Laos in February. Would love some tips. E V E R Y person I ever met says it is so much better than Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. (For culture and cuisine - the only time I ever had severe food poisoning in all sorts of out there places oseas was in fact a well-to-do resort in Patong, Phuket, obvious zero care factor because of bums on seats).
